Eagle Nest Lodge is located near the Ontario border on the Winnipeg River, a scenic 38 kilometre (27 mile) boat ride from Pointe du Bois, Manitoba. Eagle Nest has been entertaining anglers from near and far for more than five decades. Hooked Editor Don Lamont got his start in the fishing industry here, working for three years as a guide at the lodge in the early 80’s. A high quality management area, this section produces outstanding angling action for smallmouth bass, walleye and pike along with black crappies for those in the know. Most visitors are totally surprised by the remoteness of the location, just some two hours from Winnipeg. The all-inclusive service is top-notch, and the first class food & amenities add to the experience to keep anglers and families coming back each year.
