On this episode we talk to both anglers about their passion for fishing and the great outdoors.
Petro Hrynda
From the earliest memories I can recall, I’ve always had a passion for fishing. I grew up fishing the red river like most, and eventually was fascinated with the idea of fly fishing. At about 12, I picked up my first fly rod and quickly picked up some fish with it on some local trout ponds. The challenge of applying these new skills onto the Red River got my interest so I eventually began fly fishing the red and spending many evenings there since chasing cats, carps and drum. There, I eventually met Nolan sharing the same passion for fishing. We quickly became fishing partners and were able to tackle some trips around the province chasing species we’ve only dreamed of. Recently we’ve been getting into fishing tournaments, particularly bass, and look forward to doing more.
Nolan Plew
I’m a fishing guide at cedar lake lodge in Ontario and love my job every second of the day. My love for fishing and the outdoors started when my parents took me out when I was only 3 years old. Ever since then I’ve been an avid fisherman and a multi species enthusiast. I love chasing anything I could possibly catch. When I’m not out fishing, I’m in the field hunting for anything in season. My dream in life is to share the great outdoors with as many people as I can.
