Nothing gets me more excited than targeting early season Bass as they start moving up into the shallower warmer waters. Plus, it was the first boating outing of the year out in Lake of the Woods, so how could I not be happy. Went out with an old buddy Richard Quenelle looking to put the hurt on some smallies. Water temperature was still cold, but we stuck with our goal of shallower water bass rather than deep water humps to grind out some nice fish.
