I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my family and friends, and fishing is the perfect way to invest my time with them. For me it’s not about the catch, although it’s sure a lot more exciting when you catch fish! It’s more about enjoying quality time with them. The beauty of this simple recipe, is that it’s easy to cook up fresh walleye on the ice, the shore, or even at home!
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
2 eggs 1/4 cup soy sauce
Original Shore Lunch Breading (or your favourite brand)
3-5 pounds of Walleye Cut your fish into small nuggets.
Whisk together milk, eggs, and soy sauce. Soak the walleye nuggets in the liquid for 2-6 hours. Don’t leave them in for more then 6 hours, or they will become too salty.
Using the Original Shore Lunch breading (or your favourite brand), take a large zip lock bag and put the full package into it. Next, take the nuggets and put them into the breading. Seal of the bag and shake well until coated. Now they are ready to be deep fried or pan fried.
The secret to perfect deep frying is to have the oil at 350F to 375F. Having this high temperature seals the fish so they aren’t greasy. Cook the nuggets 3 to 4 minutes. With Danny’s recipe you will have the perfect Walleye nuggets! Work well with any fish.
