After a disappointing day on lake Winnipeg Saturday with Scott I decided to head East to Kenora.

What we all experienced was 2 days of ice fishing that will stick in my memory for a very long time!

We caught everything last Saturday, walleye, perch, pike and bass while fishing for Lake Trout. .. And then it happened!

The wind was howling, the snow was deep and the roads were terrible… but the Lakers were ON FIRE!

A few days ago a buddy Neil asked if I would be interested in going fishing for lake trout in northwest Ontario - of course I said Heck YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

If there is one time of year when I really look forward to fishing for walleyes its first ice on the Red River in Selkirk Manitoba…

First ice…I love it. I always make sure the ice is safe, do my research and let someone else walk out first. I am kidding of course. I am not that hardcore of a fisherman.

Ok so maybe muskies are indeed a fish of 10,000 casts, or is it 10,000 hours of trolling.

Windy, snowy, cold and wet…
